Dinner Time?

I, Emma, am the only one here at the shop from the Team BANK. Laura and Bryan left at about 1:30pm for their other engagements. According to the plan, they should both be back at around 9pm tonight and then I believe the whole studio is probably trucking on into 3am again [seems like a decent bedtime, right?] - which means we should have about 6 hours of three-person work tonight.

Honestly, I’m sort of skeptical at this point still; I just managed a lot of work on my own BUT I personally feel really pressured to make our whole thing the BEST because it is so “simple” compared to the other groups.

We thought the curved walls would be really hard - turns out the hardest part was just drawing them correctly to begin with because jigsawing was easy. Countersinking holes and marking them out and putting the wall studs up was also much easier than we anticipated; huge thanks to Megan for helping me get the second set up! However, we have NOT attempted to “skin” said walls yet - despite me talking about it ALL DAY. And I’ve found it really hard to try and get the top piece of the wall on by myself - I’m on a ladder, with weird 7’x2” poles spaced out 5ish” apart and trying to balance this curved planar thing on top of it because if I drop it we’re in trouble [this stuff is fragile when it’s cut thin like that].

I just nailed together four sides of one of the ‘cubby’ boxes. Problem is the back didn’t fit because it wasn’t square - but I think just putting a white sheet of musuem board or something in the back would serve just as well [that’s how a legit cabinet I have from Target is!].

I’m a little peckish atm. Chris + Kate + DVA have gone off to Taco Bell maybe? Curently I’m pondering asking Kim for help slicing some stuff on the table saw to get that second cubby cut out and THEN grabbing some grub before me other two group-mates get back.
